Rossi desires Italy return

Villarreal striker Giuseppe Rossi would like to return to Italy, according to his agent Federico Pastorello.

The 22-year-old made a great impression at the Confederations Cup, scoring two great goals for Italy.

His performances caught the eye of Juventus, who have since acknowledged their interest in signing him.

Rossi started his career with Parma before moving to Manchester United in 2004.

He returned to the Gialloblu on loan in 2007 before United sold him to Spanish side Villarreal that summer.

“His is a complicated situation. He is fine where he is. We are negotiating a contract renewal with Villarreal,” Pastorello told Radio Kiss Kiss.

“Without a shadow of a doubt he is a player, who at the moment in which a call from a big club arrives he would respond as being ready, willing and able.

“If this club were to be Italian, so much the better, because he feels Italian in every way,” Pastorello concluded.
