Panathinaikos target Grygera

Greek side Panathinaikos are preparing a bid for Juventus centre-back Zdenek Grygera, according to Sky Italia.

The 29-year-old Czech international arrived in Turin on a free transfer from Ajax two years ago.

After a difficult start to life in Bianconero, he became a regular, making 31 appearances in Serie A last season.

However, Juventus are now looking to upgrade their squad and want to replace Grygera either with Napoli's Fabiano Santacroce or Atletico Madrid's Tomas Ujfalusi.

The Bianconeri are also desperate to raise funds so they can complete other deals and Grygera is quite a lucrative asset.

Juventus have already sold another of their centre-backs this summer, namely Olof Mellberg.
