Camoranesi will stay

Juventus winger Mauro Camoranesi will not form any part of a deal for Lyon's Fabio Grosso, according to his agent Sergio Fortunato.

The Bianconeri desperately need a left-back, as Paolo De Ceglie and Cristian Molinaro might not be fit in time for next season.

After looking at Manuel Pasqual and Andrea Dossena, Juventus have settled on a bid for Grosso, who was part of the Italy side that won the World Cup in 2006.

However, with Christian Poulsen and David Trezeguet refusing to leave, the Bianconeri cannot afford Grosso outright and might have to insert players into the deal.

Camoranesi is rumoured to be one under consideration, as Lyon have been interested in him in the past.

When Juventus were relegated in 2006, the French outfit came in for Camoranesi and he wanted to go.

“I also knew about this hypothetical exchange even in Buenos Aires, but we are joking, aren't we?” Fortunato said.

“Mauro is worth a lot more and if Juve want to be great again they need him. He has two years left on his contract and three children.

“By now, his life is organised in Turin. He has also bought a new house,” Fortunato concluded.
