Juventus Midfielder Marco Marchionni Is Close To Joining Fiorentina

Juventus midfielder Marco Marchionni is on the verge of joining Fiorentina, according to his agent Bruno Carpeggiani.

The Artemio Franchi-based club have been locked in talks with the player's agent in Milan as they discuss his future. The former Parma man now seems set to leave Juventus following his move there from the Ducali back in 2006.

"All I can say is that Marchionni is very close to Fiorentina," the agent told Tiscalisport.

Carpeggiani was keen to keep terms of an eventual deal secret, but Sky Sport Italia are speculating on a possible agreement. The report claims Juventus want €6 million for the midfielder, but Fiorentina want to spend no more than €3m. It is suggested Marchionni will head to Florence on a co-ownership deal.

Marchionni has made 63 appearances for the Bianconeri since joining them three years ago.
