Del Piero stays calm

Alessandro Del Piero is not worried by Juventus' reluctance to offer him a new contract, his brother Stefano claims.

The 34-year-old, who has made 603 appearances for the Bianconeri, will be a free agent at the end of next season.

Juventus President Giovanni Cobolli Gigli recently said the club would deal with the situation in time.

At the moment, the Bianconeri are busy with other matters, namely signing Gaetano D'Agostino.

“I just got back from holiday, but I have followed everything that has been written about Alex,” said Stefano, who also acts as his brother's agent.

“We have no comments to make with regard to these rumours. We are calm. We listen to everything that is said and we don't have particular worries.

“This is a period in which there aren't any games, so it's normal that these kind of rumours come out.

“In the formations of the summer, Alex always comes to be left out, but then over the course of the season he reveals himself to be the most decisive attacker both in terms of scoring and creating goals.

“This is also a symptom of his tranquillity,” Stefano concluded.
